Media Project Exhibtion.
Gallery II, Chesham Building, University of Bradford.
From 13th May - 28th May 2010.

With a successful rate for the project, I've received 319 flowers in total. Thank you everyone for all your support. The installation has be premiered in Gallery II, Chesham Building, University of Bradford, along with other final year projects. From 13th May to 28th May 2010.

The aim of the project was to see how successful advertising through social networking was. Currently, the site has been visited from 61 different countries for the last 5 months. I've hosted two small events : 1 with the BruBrad Society, and the other in the University.

Without the help of participants, it would have not been possible to complete this project. Thank you all with great appreciation.

Finally, I have completed the artwork for the paper blooms project. ^_^ thank you to everyone who has kindly participated in this project. ~~I'll post the sample installation pictures after this Thursday~ Be sure to keep on checking the blog and facebook group :)~~

Not a bad turn out :D I was really-really happy to at least be receiving around 30+ paper flowers. It wasn't a bad idea to print a template for people as well. Bonus for that anyway. Here are the pictures from the event :

I do apologize for the error printed on the posters and postcards. The paper flowers could be submitted in the Paper Blooms submission box (located in front of the HUB) by the 17th of February 2010, not January.

Tulips and Lilies flying in soon

One word for it...

C-O-L-O-U-R-F-U-L ~

It was a cheerful sight for me cause there were a variety of colours for the tulips and lilies.

It made me smile even more cause Jeehan woke up early in the morning to continue making
it from the night before and it was "made with love" especially for me. Awww~ it was so
sweet of her to help me out.

I'm a wee bit jealous though. I can't do origami. Haha. Touche to that! Thanks Jeehan ;)

I made a simple flower by using crepe paper and just wrapping it around and taping it at the bottom to secure it.

The result of the 1st event

It was a (sort of) successful 1st trial event for the project. I was glad that everyone
enjoyed their time cutting and gluing papers together. It looked like they were
all in Kindy doing arts and craft. And the expression on their FACES! Oh, I can't
forget it! Thank you to those who participated that night, and again, thank you to
the President of BruBradSS, Zaini Junidi, for letting me host the event. You've all
shown me how diverse everyone is in terms of creativity. WELL DONE!

Postcard Flower

Now, all I need is to design the postcard itself ^_^ .

Like a Child with a Paper

I can assure you that there's no pressure in this project =)

It's simply like giving paper to a child and asking that child to make a paper flower. It's about creativity and how you perceive things. It doesn't have to be beautiful; it could even be
abstract! Wow me with your marvelous works of art and just let go of any doubts. It's not
a contest and by all means, it wouldn't even be judge. It's your individuality that matters ;)
